The structure of the users ranges from individual libraries, -archives and documentation centers to real and virtual networks. Here we present some selected networks and individual libraries organized by thematic areas with a brief description and their web catalogs or applications.
They all have one thing in common:Their data is stored in real-time on the DABIS clusters and is available to all BIS-C PLUS users, among others, as external data directly and integrated. Please note that individual libraries, archives and documentation centers may not release certain holdings through their Web-OPAC.

Network applications with BIS-C PLUS
BIS-C PLUS enables cross-institutional provision of collections – in real-time or at regular update intervals. Libraries, Archives and Documentation centers make their data available centrally for research and download.
At the same time, this data can be integrated as external data directly into BIS-C PLUS and adopted into their own collection without detours.

The searchable collection of this network comprises over 10 million titles, which can also be queried via the KVK - Karlsruhe Virtual Catalog.

The network of theology, church and ecumenical institutions is constantly growing; in many libraries, archives, collections and documentation centers, the retro-conversion of old holdings has only just begun or is even still being planned. At some institutions, the digitization and OCR scanning of old holdings is currently being prepared due to affordability.
Web 2.0 catalog enrichment is emphasized in numerous libraries and archives, accordingly many works are enriched with additional information, abstracts, tables of contents and multimedia features such as scans and digital copies. Unseen are the historical treasures that are partially not displayed on the web for security reasons.
Numerous libraries, archives and collections are integrated individually or as a group into external search engines and other portal applications.

The official and authority libraries of Austria preserve and manage very heterogeneous collections, ranging from classic official aids and legal literature to archival material about the Main/Danube and Ludwig Canal from the 17th and 18th centuries. Unforeseen treasures can be found in practically every library.
This network also works extensively with Web 2.0 catalogue enrichment; large areas of the collections are enriched with tables of contents, documents and multimedia objects.

The network of the Folk Song Works of Austria and South Tyrol consists of the scientific research institutions of the countries in the field of folk songs, folk music, dances, instruments and much more. The highly specialized collections are enriched and supplemented piece by piece with multimedia data.
The legally independent folk song works and archives of the Austrian federal states as well as the province of South Tyrol have come together under the Austrian umbrella organization in Vienna to form a network that is now gaining worldwide attention. Further expansion of the network to include similar Central European institutions that also work on, preserve, and maintain regional folk culture with a focus on folk music is planned.
The OeNDV Austrian Authority Data Network (OeNDV.net ) was founded by the AICC.cc - Austrian Institute for Cultural Content and DABIS in collaboration with the state libraries of Austria and South Tyrol with the aim of enabling the BIS-C PLUS participating libraries to access and directly, integrated use of authority data. The holdings of the OeNDV consist of authority data from the DNB German National Library as well as various other sources and include authority files for persons, corporate bodies, keywords, places, languages, etc. Updates and new entries from the German National Library are incorporated into the database weekly after their release.
The Authority Data Network also serves as a clearing house for the DNB, providing the new entries and corrections from the participating libraries to the three DNB authority files in Frankfurt, from where they are delivered again in the following week. Currently, the OeNDV is implementing and transitioning the DNB authority files, including the holdings of the German Music Archive, to the GND Integrated Authority File.
The Consortium Server of Special Libraries and Archives (www.VdSpB.org )

The consortium of special libraries and archives is the newest of the BIS-C PLUS consortia and includes institutions that significantly differ from the classic representatives of their kind in terms of their collections. The participants of this consortium all face enormous challenges, especially the retro-conversion of their collections - a topic that is not exactly easy in times of declining library budgets.
However, the networking, founded only in 2012, is still one of the rapidly growing associations of institutions with very dedicated staff who do their best to meet the demands of both their users and their organizations.
Individual applications
with BIS-C PLUS
BIS-C PLUS supports the independent operation of libraries, archives and documentation centers with flexible online provision of collections - in real-time or at defined update intervals.
Through the integrated access to the DABIS consortium server, external data can additionally be researched and directly incorporated into one's own collection.
The responsibility for content and data quality lies with the respective operating institution. The respective copyright regulations and usage notes apply.
Areas of application & types of institutions
- Lower Austria State Library
The NÖLB operates its own network both in its library and in the state of Lower Austria and is also the clearinghouse for the OeNDV (Austrian Standard Data Network) in relation to the DNB German National Library. The library sees itself as a publicly accessible service facility for all state citizens, providing its collections for use - also through internet lending with free book delivery. Its collections include printed works, maps and historical views. Universalmuseum Joanneum: New Gallery Graz and Folklore Museum Graz
The art and museum library of the New Gallery Graz is a scientific special library for modern art and art history that is freely accessible to the public. It collects literature on visual arts from the 19th to the 21st century. Its holdings comprise around 70,000 media units (monographs, international exhibition and auction catalogs, art literature, artist books, art magazines, audiovisual media and much more).
The library of the Folklore Museum contains around 14,500 books about 80 current magazines and periodicals, as well as numerous handwritten records (17th to 19th century) on topics including housing, work, clothing, religious culture, folk medicine, customs and rituals, legal folklore and much more. Particularly valuable folklore documents are also located in the archive of the Folklore Museum, where, in addition to various estate collections, the "Styrian Shepherd and Nativity Songs" can also be found.- Burgenland State Library
The Burgenland State Library manages over 120,000 books and 235 current magazines. As the scientific and administrative library of Burgenland, its focus is on the history and regional studies of Burgenland. However, one can also find standard works from various fields of knowledge and international fiction in the state library in Eisenstadt.

- Priestly Seminary and Diocesan Library Speyer
The collections of this highly regarded library are being retroactively cataloged and contain unique items that are one of a kind worldwide. The collection of over 200,000 bibliographic units and 300 current magazines focuses on practical theology (pastoral theology, homiletics, liturgy, religious education). - Protestant Church of the Palatinate, Library and Media Center
The media center is responsible for the selection, procurement, and lending of audiovisual media. It provides DVDs, video cassettes, audio-visual series, CD-ROMs, CDs, audio cassettes, media packages, and working sheets for use in religious and confirmation classes, in youth, adult, and senior work, as well as for private needs. Since 1998, the media center and library have been united under one roof. - Protestant Church of the Palatinate, Central Archive
The library of the central archive currently comprises about 14,000 volumes and 30 journals. Regular current acquisitions are made. The collection focuses on Palatine history and church history, local chronicles, popular piety, and historical auxiliary sciences. - University and Regional Church Library Wuppertal
The Protestant Church in the Rhineland - with DEI Jerusalem and the LKA Düsseldorf. The THZW is an open cooperative competence center for theology and church. Its focus is on theological education and training for both professional and volunteer church workers. Through new collaborations and synergy effects, existing resources are utilized more effectively - an idea that is increasingly taking shape in the ThZW and can also be pioneering for church work in other fields. - Augustana University Neuendettelsau
Augustana University (AHS) is the theological university of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria. It is equivalent to the theological faculties at universities and thus offers study opportunities from learning theological languages to doctoral or even habilitation degrees. - Archbishop's Academic Library of the Archdiocese of Paderborn and the Johann-Adam-Möhler Institute
With the collections of the Corvey Library, a Palatina library, and diocesan literature. The EAB is the library of the Theological Faculty of Paderborn and the diocesan library for the Archdiocese of Paderborn. In addition to the basic collection of 300,000 units, the EAB manages special collections in the areas of manuscripts, incunabula, single-sheet prints, fragments, canonizations, archives, music materials, and photo collections. - Stift and Papal Philosophical-Theological University Heiligenkreuz
The library includes the collections of the abbey as well as the university and numerous collections, the most important of which is that of manuscripts. - Institute for Religious Education and Media Work Dortmund
The media center is the central point of the Archdiocese of Paderborn for religious education and media work. It represents a mix of training center, media library, and library - accordingly, the collections of the institution are also mixed, providing media to the educational institutions and schools in the archdiocese. - Network of libraries, archives, and documentation centers -VThK.eu

The collections are thematically divided into four databases (printed works, journals, European law, and official gazettes), but can of course be searched across databases or individually. - The Cluster Library | EDZ / European Documentation Center
The Europe Direct EDZ Cluster Library at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Tourism (BMWET) provides library and documentation services, among others, for the departments BMASGPK, BMF, BMIMI, BMLUK, the Federal Office for Metrology and Surveying (BEV), the Burghauptmannschaft (BHÖ), the Federal Computing Center GmbH (BRZ GmbH), and the Federal Property Administration (BMobV). - Technical Museum Vienna with Austrian Mediathek
The largest long-term archiver in Europe digitizes and stores audio and video files in high-resolution, standardized formats. This service is also provided for other institutions such as the Austrian Parliament, ORF Austrian Broadcasting/Television, and numerous archives. Each recording is made in accordance with RAK standards and selected with metadata for Europeana. - Association of Folk Song Works and Archives Austria / South Tyrol
The association of the folk song archives of Austria and South Tyrol consists of the scientific research institutions of the countries in the field of folk songs, folk music, dances, instruments, and much more.
